This was a rough week at work. Mostly 10 hour days and one 12 hour day- the bulk of which have been at a desk at my laptop or sitting in meetings. My back was killing me and I didn't motivate myself to workout. That's gotta change!
Saturday's Workout (12/8/07)wawrm up: 55 lb kb wall squats for 20 reps, 45 lb kb halos 10 reps in each direction
I am incorporating EDT style training for part of my workout now. Alternating between 1 arm KB presses with a 35 lb kb and chin ups with minimal rest between sets for 20 minutes. Here are the reps achieved this time
KB one arm press 5,5,5,5,8,5,6,6,5,5
chin ups 5,5,5,5,4,4,3,3,3,3
After about a 5 minute rest I did two arm KB swings with a 45 lb KB in a Tabata protocol (20 sec. on, 10 sec. rest for a total of 4 mintues)Got 8 sets of 13 reps out.
Felt like a good workout. My back feels much better as well.

Nice workout Leon. I have the same problem after work. I find if I get straight to it I get my w/o's in, if I wait any length of time then my motivation tapers off. EDT is good stuff, really helps get a lot of training in a short period of time.

Good goin' Leon. Fitness is cumulative. A day or two of rest every week is good too..

Leon,

Afte reading what others I have posted on the forum I tend to work my days off around what my body is telling me. If I feel really tired (as opposed to just lazy, which I feel most days anyway!) I will do an easier workout or take the day off completely.

Regards
Rich

Like Rich said, listen to your body. If you're feeling run down, no harm in taking a day off. Sometimes less is more...

Saturday, 12/22/07 Did my regular warm up tonight.
Alternated dips and DB renegade rows with 40 lb DBs.
In 15 minutes I got 10X5 dips and 10x7R,7L rows.
Will be taking a couple of KBs and DBs with me tomorrow when we head out of town for the holidays. Probably won't have computer access til we get back late on Thurs. Will post my workouts then. Hope everyone has a happy and a healthy holiday. Leon

I didn't think I would have email access while away for the holidays. Luckily my nephew does. Snuck in a quick workout this morning. Tabata protocol with @% bl DB one arm snatch. 8 sets of 10 reps in 4 minutes. Hope to get in another workout a little later on. My son and daughter could not believe I brought a KB (45lber) and dumbells (25lber and a pair of 40lbers) with me. The bigger challenge than working out is making healthy food choices at my in laws this afternoon and evening!
