The Ader 24kg kettlebell arrived today. Nice!. It is quite a bit taller than the DD kettlebell and it does sit a lot lower on the forearm. The bell rests completely below the fracture point on my right wrist. Life is getting better. Really love these Ader kettlebells.

chinups 5x3 / divebomber pushups 5x10
bw squats 2x10 (Depth is getting better. Visit the Doc. this afternoon to check on the knee)

Practiced form with the dumbell snatch. Biceps are really sore from yesturdays dumbell snatches. Chinups were a killer today.

Jump rope 6 x 3 minutes

70lb KB swings 15/15
28kg KB one arm C&P 4x(1,2,3) / pullups 4x(3,5,7)
70lb KB TGU 1/1, 2/2, 3/3
70lb KB swings 25/25, 20/20, 15/15, 10/10

The Ader KB seems to work out well with the right wrist. I am using an old Power Systems 70lb KB for the swings and TGUs. I spent a good deal of time sanding down the handle on the Power Systems KB and it is pretty smooth now. It is very tall and works pretty well.

Saw the Doc. for a follow up yesturday. Said using the KBs won't make the wrist worse. Just don't hit the point where the bone is enlarged. Did poit out that it may become arthritic later on.

28kg KB one arm clean and press 3x(1,2,3) / pullups 3x(3,5,7)
70lb DB TGU 2/2, 3/3, 2/2, 3/3, 1/1 (solid and smooth) / pullups 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
32kg KB swings 20/20, 20/20, 15/15, 15/15, 10/10, 10/10

(I think the dumbbell weights around 75lbs. Have 70 lbs on the handle. Handle is an 18 inch piece of galvanized pipe with another piece of pipe slipped ove the middle and taped for extra thickness. Today I want to claim the extra 5 lbs)

TGUs with the 32kg Kettlebell feel easier after working them with the dumbbell.

Just getting my log updated after a few days away. I will be going in to have surgury on my meniscus on Monday. John thanks for your post on Dragon Door. Everyone says it should be a quick recovery. Hoping to get back to normal soon. They are just trimming a small tear so recovery should be much quicker than if they were doing a repair.

Got out on the bike with my wife while she ran today.

She got 60 swings per arm with the 12kg after her run plus a few sets of divebombers.

I played with the 24kg.
24kg KB snatches 3/3, 5/5, 7/7, 9/9, 11/11, 3/3, 5/5, 7/7

I am hoping that I can get back with my kettlebells soon after the surgury. Doc says I could possibly be back to swings and standing presses within a few days but no running for quite a while longer and no squats until all swelling is gone. haven't been able to run or squat for two months since the knee flaired up so not to bothered about that. Feel pretty lucky.

Best of luck Eric. I hope to see you swinging away in a couple of days. You've been a source of inspiration to get me swinging.

TGUs with a 70lb anything is very impressive, that is a very demanding and difficult exercise. Nice!

Best of luck with the surgury and recovery Eric.

I'm actually going to have my knee looked at next Thursday. I don't know what is wrong with it. I have no swelling but there is pain. Lots of it when I squat down to pick something up. But none when I use my hip flexors during squats. Its weird. I just need to have it looked at... ugg. I hope its nothing.

Please keep us posted on your recovery.

Best,
Lisa

Thank you all for the encouragement. Lisa I sincerely hope your knee is ok. I plan to get a couple of good sessions in before the little break I will be taking.

Surgury this morning. Went well. Doc. trimmed a little off both sides of the medial meniscus and says I should be back to feeling pretty normal within a week. I can actually walk on it now. The worst is the nausea from the anesthesia. Been sleeping on and off all day.
