Rich,

Is the weighted back pack you use a regular back pack with weights in it or a fitness product such as a weighted vest, etc.? I haven't really considered throwing a KB or some other weight in a back pack for a walk but it is something to consider. My youngest son asked this weekend if we could start taking family walks in the evening since it has been so warm. That might help cut the stride difference down and give me more of a workout.

Thanks man!

Ralph,

It's a couple of 5kg weights in a normal back pack. Basically a throwback to my military days.

Mike,

Basically just running backwards and forwards between two points. My back garden is 10metres long so I tend to run up and down that.

Hope you understand my garbled explanation, mate.

Regards
Rich

Rich,

Thanks Rich, excellent description. I'm always on the lookout for ways to include running. My running days are virtually over (had right knee totally reconstructed a few years ago).

Mike

It's the same with my left knee. Damaged my cartilage at work and had the medial meniscus removed. Long distance running is a no-no. I tend to use rowing as my main source of cardio (as you've probably noticed!!)

Rich
