I really got into it when I was at police training school. I used to do 45 mins a night as well as weights or bag work on alternate days. Got pretty fit and regularly beat the youngsters on fitness tests (I was the second eldest in the class). Really pleased to be back into it and it works well alongside KB workouts.

2 mile walk in the pouring rain with my 100lb German Shepherd! I managed to drag the wife along with her Patterdale/Jack Russell cross.

I bet no one messes with that dog. 100 lbs has got to be unusual for a German Shepherd!

He is a big lad. I used to be a handler and have worked with a number of GSDs. He's the biggest I've ever handled though.
He's solid as well. Think his dad must have been a bear or something!!

6 mile walk.(to and from Tube station for work)

I've got a bit of a back twinge so I'm trying to keep active but not do anything to aggravate it.

Rich

Sometimes you just need to take it a bit easy. I do as well every now and then. Lately, work has forced me to.

Huh huh... Knackered... Thats a funny word...

Seriously, hope you are feeling better. A 6 mile walk is really no joke though. I could not run all summer and really grew to appreciate just going out for a walk. It is about as natural as you can get and one of the best pick-me-ups.

Another 6 mile walk today - still knackered!!

I love teaching my friends across the Pond various British colloquialisms.
As regards "Knackered" it has various meanings.

a) Very tired - "I am knackered!"
b) Broken - "My car's knackered!"

In addition "Knackers" is often used to describe testicles and the "Knackers Yard" is the old term for a slaughterhouse.

A gold star to the first of you to get the word "knackered" into a post.

Class dismissed!

Regards
Rich
