Now that my shoulder is feeling better, I have decided to do 1000-1200 swings this month. I'll see how it feels. Tonight I did:

200 swings (53lb) in 11 minutes

I feel pretty good, my forearms started to feel a little smoked around minute 8.

I am anxious to see how this helps my deadlifting, this cycle will end at 275 lbs.

Deadlift- 225 for 3, 255 for 3, 225 for 3

Single Arm KB Strict Press (44lb)
Pull-ups
(Both were ladders to 3)

Manmakers- 20 swings (53lb) followed by 1 lap around the soccer field (not sure on the distance...Jim would know ;-) for a total of 200 swings. This took about 12 minutes. My physical therapist has asked me to start adding running to every workout to see how my ankle feels (I tore my Achilles tendon 10 months ago).

I am very tired tonight.....Jim and I decided that I will end my deadlift cycle at 255 and continue with my swings since I already started them. I will pick back up on my next deadlift cycle in one month.

I normally run on an indoor soccer field, I ran on the treadmill for the first time yesterday since my injury. My ankle swelled a little and it was sort of painful as I ran. I have ran outside in dirt a few times too. It really just depends.

Friday- Ran 1 mile, I attempted to do 200 swings but stopped because of a blister

Saturday- Ladders to 3, 3 rounds

Presses-44lb
20 KB Swings- 53lb

I started on the minute with 1 press each arm. Then I would rest the rest of the minute. Then at the start of the second minute, I did my 20 swings. These took about 30 seconds and then I recovered the rest of the second minute. Then I started over again with 2 presses each arm and so on. So as my press number got higher my recovery time got shorter.

Impressive work. I can't co-ordinate clean and jerk no matter how hard I try. May try again this summer :-)

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of clean and jerks when I started, but now I love them.
