Did one of the KBGoddess workouts: Odyne

Used 26# for everything unless otherwise specified.

Swings - 2hand x15; left x15, right x15
single leg MP 2x6 (l,r)
walk swings - x26
single leg lat pull 3x6 (l,r)
snatches - 15 reps (1,r)
dragon walk - 21 steps
dbl swing 2x15 (that was HARD...couldn't get them to shoulder level)
dbl cleans (couldn't do them so did 2x12 left, right) may could have with 20# but my friend had borrowed one of them

I added in:
15 OH crunches with 26#
15 lower body reverse crunches (body weight)
few planks for 30 sec

I'm a bit behind.

Sunday: 3 mi recovery run/walk (mostly run)
Monday: did some dumbbell work with a video. I can tell the KBs have DEFINITELY helped me move up in weight with dumbbells
Tues: ran 5 mi (2.5 uphill/2.5 down)

I got back to running last night. Ran 1 mi straight, then ran/walked (2 min run/1 min walk) 3.3 mi.

I've been doing wall squats with a large exercise ball (2 sets of 30) as well as planks, side planks, etc for abs/core and a video or two that I have for Core work.

I'll be doing KB workouts again too to help strengthen my hips/core.

I'm BACK!!!!

I forgot about these training logs here. I'll start posting my workouts here again. I took time away from kbs last fall and in December started with P90X. I did 2 rounds of that 3 month program and just finished up last week. I'm excited to be back to kbs again.

I'm still running too and completed my 2nd half marathon in March. #3 is in October and I'm training for a full marathon in December.

Monday (7/5) -ran 5 mi with big hills; Lauren Brooks' 12 min kb video twice. Figured that was a good way to get back started. Hamstrings were SO sore!

Tuesday (7/6)-did Lauren's Baby Bells Pregnancy kb video even though I"m not pregnant. Still a good workout; ran 4 mi slowly with a big long climb of a hill

Wednesday (7/7)-ran 6 mi at fast pace for a speed work run; Used Lisa's book to work on Core exercises with kb:
1 set swings
Slingshot x 2 (left/right)
Under Leg Pass

Thurs (7/8)- did mp3 workout from Liftkettlebells.com
jumping jacks 1 min
body squats 1 min
2 handed swings 1 min
front squats (l/f) 30 sec each
windmill (l/r) 1 min ea
2 hand swings (waist high) 30 sec
1 hand swings (1/r) 30 sec
military press (l/f) 30 sec
jumping jacks 1 min
2 hand swings 1 min
1 arm row (1/r) 30 sec
pullovers 45 sec
floor press (l/r) 30 sec x 2
pullovers 30 sec
snatch (1/r) 30 sec
snatch (1/r) not sure how long...I need to work on form..kept banging my forearm so didn't go too long
snatch (1/r) 30 sec - did better with right than left but didn't go full 30 sec per side
Ran 3 mi at easy pace.

Friday was rest day but it took me 4 hrs of walking around 2 grocery stores to get shopping done.

7/10/10
Today (Sat) ran 10 mi. One of the crappiest runs I've had. Hormones wreaking havoc too. I felt like I was running in slow motion. I need a nap.

More form work with Lisa's DVD but first:
JM/10 squat thrusts
DL 4x10 26#
2 hand swings 5x20 26#
Cleans (form practice):
2x3 rack position to floor 20#
2x5
1x6 near wall
1x5
2x5 26#
1x2 35# (just to see if I could :))
I need to work on the squeeze a bit more, but the 26# and 35# forced me to.

Will be running easy for 5 mi tonight if the rain doesn't come.
