I'm not quite ready to give up my current workouts although I am now mainly using them for cardio only. I want to stick with what has been working to help me lose 36 lbs until I can get used to the KB workouts alone. Time will tell though.
Today's workout was:
Ultimate Calorie Blaster (the Firm)/cardio only Swings 3x20 (30 sec rest) 20# Overhead swings 3x10 (30 sec rest)20#

Thanks, Lisa! I've battled my weight my whole life...a lot of it being turning to food for emotional comfort. I've been able to work through/past a lot of that this time around and I really feel I can meet my weight loss goals. Kettlebells have even given me a new goal for my clothing size and the way I want my body to look. I've lost lots of inches too so I try to not just go by the number on the scale.

My workout for today was:
3x20 two hand swings with 26# (30 sec rest) 1x20 two hand swings with 35# (I did this just to see if I could) 3x20 alt hand swings with 26#
Firm video (Pump, Jump and Jab) Typical kickbox moves plus it had a little dumbell work for lats and medial delts, some lunges and pushups. I was mainly going for the cardio aspect.

You're doing really well. And I like your well rounded approach. You seem to have the whole picture, Penny. Nutrition is very important.
Very nice job with the 35lb swings!

Awesome job on moving up to the 35!
Great to hear about your weight loss. As Lisa said, nutirion is important...I tell clients it is 80% of any weight loss goal.
Here is something I wrote up the other day for some of my training clients to read about calories in -vs- calories out. It is a pretty good illustration.

Thanks, Lisa and Jim. I'll take a look at your blog, Jim.
I know that Weight Watchers is a great program, but I really differ with them when they say "you can eat anything you want". I think that is deceiving in a way, but I do understand they mean you can have pizza sometimes. But to the average person going to WW, they think "sometimes" is once/twice per week. WW actually has 2 programs and I've chosen the 2nd program. It is basically how we've all been told to eat lean proteins, freggies, complex carbs.
I've never fully accepted that I have to eat this way until THIS time with WW. I've had a weight problem all of my life and a lot of it was tied to emotional problems where I'd run to food. That is no more. I've learned to PREFER the healthy foods so I'm really feeling this will be the LAST time I'm at WW because I'll keep this weight off for good just by developing these healthy habits and preferring the better foods.
Sorry for the "book".

Gosh, I feel like a slacker looking at some of these other people's training logs! I hope I'll work up to doing that much one day.
Here's my workout today:
3x10 bodyweight squats (I didn't go rock bottom because of my knee--it was acting up on Sat--- but it felt good to my knee otherwise....I used a small chair as a guide just to be sure I was really going down low) 3x8 tricep pushups ( I did some on the kbs and some just on the floor...all on my knees. I did several sets of the total 9 all on the KBs so I'm getting there, but there were some at the beginning and end where I had to go down to the floor) plank for 30 sec 3x15 swings with 35#!!!! Jump rope for 30 sec Did this whole thing 3 times with 30 sec rests....I did warm up with the joint mobility section of Lauren's DVD.
