I had the same experience last night while doing alternating swings with the 24 kg KB. My left hand was just barely up to grabbing the bell when swapping hands at shoulder level.
Being able to swing the 70# bell at your weight is pretty impressive. That 150# deadlift was impressive too :-)

Wow! A 150lb deadlift and swinging the 32. Not sure what your weight is but you look small in the pictures on the website so that is impressive. Hope this does not sound chauvanistic but not too many women swinging the 32 are there?

I weigh about 106. There aren't too many women that WANT to swing or lift the heavy weights. I think there are plenty that could. ;o)

My wife was curious about how tall you are. She hasn't touched a kettlebell yet, but has picked me off the floor about 6" in a frisky moment.

That workout falls in the category of sometimes necessary, but not a lot of fun. I'll have to shamelessly borrow it when I am on the road some time.

John Peterson has a couple good books with bodyweight routines. I have to resort to that approach on the road too. Once I pack a flight suit, steel toe flight boots, steel toe work boots for the flight line and a week of normal clothes, the suitcase is teetering on the 50# limit.

I've been doing the 53# cleans from the ground up. I'm also making a conscious effort to keep the hand on the opposite side well clear of my knee or thigh. I rigged a pair of 35# plates on a single dumbbell. Too awkward for swings. That is definitely a strength of the KB form factor.

Yes, keep that hand away from the knee. I have to get on to people in my workshops for that all the time. ;o)

Thanks John.
I felt like I should have done more swings but I was pressed for time. There was a ton of homework to do because we have a Pumpkin patch trip tomorrow.
