You must have had a chance to see the new big Ader kettlebells if your DL was with a 150 lb kettlebell. Does that compare favorably to a DL with a barbell?

Actually I liked it better. The handle is a lot thicker than the bar and you have to do a Sumo Dead Lift with one KB. It was good.

The thicker handle would help spread the weight in your palm better. That sounds like a good design choice. I can see having some of the big ones in a shared use setting. It seems a bit pricey to have a set of these at home in the basement.

Stepping on an 18" box for 10 minutes without rest is impressive - do you step with bodyweight or bw+ additional weight?

I've always been more partial to step-ups than squats.

For this workout it was just bodyweight. But many times I use the 36lber for step ups.

Because of the knee problem lately I like the step ups and dead lifts for legs. I may get back into squats but probably won't do as many of them.

Hope the knee gets back to normal for you soon.

Never thought about step ups. 10 minutes!!! That has got to hurt a bit.

Thanks Eric.

The bodyweight step ups were easy. When you add the weight its a whole other ball game. ;o)

Hey Ken,

I'm just using the 26's. I've worked up to pressing the 36lber but that hasn't been my focus for the past few weeks.

Are you getting the 70# kb to shoulder height on those swings?

Hi Mark,

No, the 70 is very taxing on my grip and still pretty heavy for me. So the swings are only waist or slightly higher.
