Making a new post or attaching an image or file to a post isn't very clearcut if you haven't used this type of forum software before. So here are the instructions for making a new post and/or attaching a file to a post.
TO MAKE A NEW POST
Log in first -- you have to be logged in to see the Post button. Then go to the forum you want to post in (Kettlebell Forum, Training Logs, etc). At the top, just above the thread list, you'll see a Post button, with a little document page looking icon.
Click on that and you'll get the "new message" screen. Type out your message, add a subject line (thread title -- the software won't accept your new post without a subject line), and then preview your message. Don't forget to submit the post after the preview page -- it won't record the message with just the preview. That's the one step people sometimes miss and then later can't find the post.
TO UPLOAD A PICTURE INTO YOUR POST
To embed a picture into a post (either a reply post or a new post), type your post, then click the Preview Reply box before clicking Continue.
Once you get to the preview page, you'll see a box that says:
You may attach a file if you like.... next to a Browse box. Click on Browse and search your computer drive to find the picture you want to upload to our server. Click on the picture, then click Open.
When you're done editing your post, click Ok, Submit and your photo should appear in the new post.
(Thank you Laree. I cut and pasted her instructions from her board, which saved me some thinking and typing! )
