5 MILITARY PRESS LADDERS 1-5. 20 SWINGS BETWEEN EACH RUNG. ALL WITH 24KG.

Did each press at the top of the minute, rested until the next minute, then swings. Then repeated up the ladder.

Second hand on the 12, 1 press left, 1 right, rest until next minute. Then, 20 swings at the start of the next minute. Repeat up the ladders. This equalled aproximately a 1:1 work/rest ratio.

500 TOTAL SWINGS: 2,500 THIS WEEK.

KETTLEBELL WORKOUT:
3 MILITARY PRESS LADDERS 1-3, WITH 20 SWINGS BETWEEN EACH RUNG, THEN 1 EXTRA SET OF 20 SWINGS. ALL WITH 32KG. TOTAL 200 SWINGS.

4-MINUTE SET OF SWINGS WITH 24KG @ 25 RPM (For me this equals 2:1 work/rest ratio...40 seconds for swings 20 seconds rest). 100 swings total.

5-MINUTE SET OF SWINGS @ 20 RPM. 1:1 work/rest ratio. 100 swings.

TOTAL: 400 SWINGS. WEEKLY TOTAL 400. MONTHLY TOTAL 2,900.

32KG FOR ALL SWINGS.

Regina, it is basically a set of Taekwon-do exercises. They are called katas in Japanese styles.

I try to go as hard as possible. So exercise wise, it is equal to snatching the heaviest kettlebell you can for max reps for 45-60 seconds. That is a pretty close comparison.

My hands are blistered like crazy, but I just tape them up and go. One more week!

thanks for the explanation. I should have joined this challenge..but stress levels etc, wasn't sure I'd keep up..consistency has been sporadic with me..but its been cool to see what everyone's been up to with it..

sorry to hear about the hands...using my aders, along with a filer, I've managed to keep blisters at bay..hope they heal quick.
