Training is looking good.
Hmmm too many wet days just lately. The garden is loving it but I'd rather have a little more sunshine. How is your back? Your workouts seem pretty good
Still the same. Looks like the disks have worn away and I have some arthritis. They are not going for surgery now (thankfully!) and are looking at more physio and possibly injections. I have found exercises that don't aggravate the back too much and am sticking with those. Luckily the boxing/combatives stuff doesn't give me any real issues at all.
Regards Rich

Good to hear you've found a way to avoid surgery.I'm impressed you are still working so hard!
Thanks Chris. Training is the only thing keeping me going! If I had to stop I think I would go mad! Or get really fat!

My back is plying up again. It's been niggling for a few weeks but a 2 min set of rows during the last circuit really set it off. I rested over the weekend and kept the weights light and the abs tight during circuit yesterday. But have decided to keep my own workouts simple and keep the weight down.
JM 500 swings 12kg in sets of 50 TGU x 6 with 5kg lots of stretching and 5 mins breathe
Back feeling ok with this

Woke up feeling better today-those swings always help. Hands a bit battered so I decided just to walk to the supermarket today instead of driving.

Decided to work on Jim's pressing regime. The other regime I was working on hurt my back-too many double windmills-my back does not like these. Jim's seems more straightforward and easy on my back. I'm looking forward to seeing some results!
Jm slingshot and halos Ladders First minute -1 c&p 12kg lr Second minute- 20 swings 16kg Third minute - 2 MP 12kg lr Fourth minute- 20 swings 16kg Fifth minute - 3 MP 12kg 1r sixth minute - 20 swings 16kg
3 ladders TGU practise 8kg 16kg C&P right- just needs a little side help 16kg C&P left- tried 3 times-best was 2nd try when I got almost to lifting point.

The sun was shining and I have tickets for Dylan Moran so can't go to circuits. Decided to go for a run instead. I decided to set myself the goal of running to the nearest village which is about two miles away a few weeks ago. This was my first attempt and I only expected to run about a third of that. Instead I just kept going and ran the whole two miles! Thirst set in on the way back so I ran/walked home. Clearly I'll have to revise the challenge...
I also completed 5x1-3 press ladders without te swings as I figured I'd done enough cardio.
