Thought of you this weekend as I travelled through St Pancras (went to see Iggy Pop in Hammersmith) and saw a poster of transport police. How is your back?

Hi Chris. Back is still sore. I have managed to find exercises that don't aggravate it too much. I have got two compressed disks in my liwe back and some of the stuff from the disks is pressing on a nerve root causing the pain. As I gave had physio before the next stage is surgery :-(.

How was Iggy? I used to work opposite to the Hammersmith Apollo. There us a red brick building which is a BTP police station.

Rich

Sorry to hear that. I hope they sort the problem.

Iggy was fab- still can't keep his trousers up! Great for his age though.

Thanks Rich

Training with new trainer today. This guy is a little more relaxed. He said my TGU was fine. We worked on that for 30mins and then we did some squats and work on glute activation.

When I got home I did 2x15 negative pullups and 1x15 chin ups- some positive some negative.
Finished with a blast of cardio
5x45 swings 20kg- 30 secs rest between each set. Phew
Stretch

Bootcamp/circuit class.
5 excercises 1 min each- as many as you can. Repeat four times attempting to do as many as in the first set. In other words compete against yourself-and I'm a sore loser. I ache now!
Followed by sprints and plank work

Great work, Chris!! Not sure what I will do after ETK and I need to give it some thought. I really enjoy the challenges we do here and the group involvement. Will give it some thought.

Me too...
Wednesday
Training with new RKC, he is a little more straight forward and I can make some easy corrections. Just hope it's enough.

Thursday
Boot camp-had fun and am beginning to keep up with the others!

Friday
I had a really early morning and my body was fatigued so I just did chin up and pull up practise.

JM
Chin up ladder- can't do full hang yet but can drop some of the way before lifting myself again
3 rungs, first rung 25 sec hang--5 sets

15 negative pull ups- progress is slow!

Saturday was rest day but ended up demolishing and old shed so there was plenty of sledge hammer work and genuine sandbag carrying.

Sunday
JM

Circuit
5 negative pull ups
2 TGU
5 goblet squats
swings 16kg

5 sets

TGU started with 5kg and worked up to 16kg in last set. Only did stages 1,2,3 as want to monitor my back. Trainer said I probably couldn't do this so am pleased with myself. Pull ups are coming on- I can hold my weight for a few second now. Finished with 20 more to make the 45

chin up ladders 1,2,3 x5 Hold for 25 secs on first. No feet on the ground for the others
1st 3 sets each rung had a TGU in between, 2 sets with 12kg, 1 set with 8kg. Wrists hurt a little so changed to goblet squats x 5 between each chin up rung for last two sets

20kg 2h swings- 20 swings at top of each minute for 5 minutes=100 swings

Running behind- due to tiredness and hectic lifestyle I suspect.

Thursday
No circuit as instructor was ill so home for general swings and pullup practise.

Friday
Circuit class-can do 20 push ups and 21 double thrusters now-much better.

Saturday
Technicaly rest day but we hired a van and I spent the day carrying lots of heavy stuff upa nd down steps and throwing it in the tip!

Sunday
More heavy lifting so stuck to pullup practise 3x15 negative and TGU practise with no or little weight. Still a little concerned about this

Monday
More driving around in the van but less heavy lifting.
JM
5 chin ups frpm bent arm hang
50 swings (1h/2h)
25 sec hang
100 swings
25 sec hang
100 swings
25 sec hang
100 swings
25 sec hang
100 swings
2 full chin ups
50 swings
5 goblet squats
